Inclusion Services

The Media & Film Academy Inclusion Service has been set up to provide inclusion for children and young people with special educational needs that have been excluded from mainstream school. We've developed exciting vocational programmes, which we combine with our high service standards and support from our partners. The Media & Film Academy has produced term time and holiday programmes for young people, which will engage and support them while a mainstream school can be located.

What is being offered
The Media & Film Academy has noticed an increasing number of children are being excluded from mainstream schools with no viable educational alternatives. We can offer an educational solution on a term-to-term basis until a mainstream school placement can be found for your young person. We will work with social workers/SENCO and provide weekly updates as well as a work portfolio.

Welcome to the Media Age
Students studying at The Media & film Academy will engage in our tailor made vocational courses which include media, podcasting, presenting, editing, cinema reviews, social media and gaming. These courses have been selected as they proven extremely successful with engaging young people.

We offer placements in the autumn, spring and summer terms however these courses are extremely popular and availability is limited. We also run courses during the half term/end of term as well as Easter, summer and Christmas holidays to make us a year round solution to your special educational needs.
