This creative filmmaking course is an introduction to the art of documentary filmmaking. Your challenge throughout the course will be to research, shoot and edit your very own short documentary under the guidance of an expert documentary filmmaker.
During the course you will explore the rich genre of documentary film, developing a greater understanding of the form and documentary filmmaking techniques. You’ll then learn practical filmmaking skills on the job, as you and your classmates form a production crew, rotating roles to gain maximum experience.
You will have the option of either deciding on a fresh concept for your documentary as a group, or alternatively having an topic set by your tutor.
This course is perfect for beginners, those with some technical experience, or anyone who has an interest in how documentaries are made.
